Direct Repair Shops have contracts with insurance companies in order to have work directed to them. Contracted shops can tend to compromise quality. Remember, these shops are now the client of the insurance company. They are instructed to install sub-standard After-Market Parts or crash parts because these parts are in the insurers best interest…not yours.

Direct repair shops would have you believe insurance companies have your best interest at heart. Inferior repairs are never in your best interest. And they cost you money when it is time to sell your vehicle. This is called Diminished Value. Insurers are banking on the fact that car owners won’t keep their vehicle long enough to deal with the Diminished Value and inferior parts.
